Premier League Preview

My predictions ahead of another busy weekend of football in the Premier League.

All Saturday 15:00 GMT Kick off’s unless stated.

West Brom v Leicester City

This is an interesting game, Leicester are by no means safe despite the good work of Craig Shakespeare. West Brom are having a fantastic season and are tough to play at home. West Brom haven’t been in fantastic form of late, Leicester could take advantage of that and give themselves more breathing space from the bottom three.

I fancy Leicester to win this one, they made Arsenal work very hard for the win in midweek and I think Leicester will be too strong for West Brom in this game.

West Brom 2 Leicester 3

Southampton v Hull City

Hull will be looking at this game as the one that breaks their awful away record. They will not have it easy however, Southampton are a decent side and they are having another good season. With Swansea playing Manchester United, Hull will want to win this one in order to pull away from the bottom three.

This is a tough game for both sides, but by the law of averages Hull are bound to pick up three points away from home eventually. I fancy Hull in this one, Marco Silva has done a superb job since taking over.

Prediction: Southampton 1 Hull City 2

Stoke City v West Ham United

Both teams don’t really have anything to play for, West Ham are safe now. So both teams should play with a lot of freedom knowing that they will be in the Premier League next season. I like Slaven Bilic and I really hope the owners stick by him and back him in the summer.

With nothing really to play for, I think Stoke City will come out on top in this one. The likes of Shaqiri and Arnautovic will be a big threat to West Ham’s defence.

Prediction: Stoke City 2 West Ham United 1

Sunderland v Bournemouth

I predicted Sunderland would be relegated this season in the early weeks of this campaign. They just aren’t good enough and that showed again in midweek, with a defeat against fellow relegation candidates Middlesbrough. If Sunderland lose this game then relegation will be confirmed. Sunderland will find it extremely difficult to bounce straight back up, a massive rebuilding job is needed in the summer.

Bournemouth play football the right way, they are one the teams I love to watch. I think Bournemouth will win this game, with the way Sunderland have been playing all season it’s hard to favour them.

Prediction: Sunderland 1 Bournemouth 3

Crystal Palace v Burnley (Saturday, 17:30 GMT)

Crystal Palace have really picked things up in recent weeks, Burnley’s awful away form will continue at Selhurt Park I think. The attacking players Palace have will be too much for Burnley.

Burnley just need a win and they will be safe, if they aren’t careful they will continue to be dragged in to a relegation fight.

Prediction: Crystal Palace 3 Burnley 1

Manchester United v Swansea City (Sunday, 12:00 GMT)

Swansea are fighting for their lives, if they go down they will have a much better chance of bouncing straight back up, compared with the likes of Sunderland and Middlesbrough.

Manchester United picked up a draw against City in midweek, a result that keeps their top four hopes alive. I can see Manchester United winning this one, Swansea will make it tough for them though.

Prediction: Manchester United 2 Swansea City 1

Everton v Cheslea (Sunday, 14:05 GMT)

I am really looking forward to this game, it should be a very entertaining one. Chelsea have been fantastic this season, Tottenham are doing their best to keep pace with them, however I think the title is Chelsea’s. I think this will be a quite a tight game, you never really know what you might get from Everton – They lack that consistency you need to finish in the top four, something they will be aiming to do in the next campaign.

I am going for a Chelsea win in this one, they are just so ruthless and clinical.

Prediction: Everton 1 Chelsea 2

Middlesbrough v Manchester City (Sunday, 14:05 GMT)

Middlesbrough got a great result against Sunderland in midweek, for me though it was a case of too little too late. Both North East sides will be relegated this season, I just don’t see a way out for them.

Manchester City should walk this one, they will have far too much for Boro.

Prediction: Middlesbrough 0 Manchester City 3

Tottenham v Arsenal (Sunday, 16:30 GMT)

Arsenal have slowly started to pick up recently, but I just don’t think they have enough to beat Spurs in this one. Spurs have too many players that can punish them. Arsenal have players who can punish you, but only when they feel like it.

I actually think Tottenham might win this game comfortably. Arsenal’s defence is always a bit shaky and they the fighters that are needed for a game like this.

Prediction: Tottenham 3 Arsenal 1

Watford v Liverpool (Monday, 20:00 GMT)

If I am being brutally honest, I dread watching Watford play they just aren’t a very exciting team to watch. They seem to already be thinking about next season with the way they are playing at the moment.

You don’t really know which Liverpool side will turn up. They are so hard to predict, one week they can roll a team over the next they can be beaten by a side near the bottom of the league.

I will go with Liverpool on this one though, Watford just don’t look interested at the moment.

Prediction: Watford 0 Liverpool 2
