Premier League Preview

Another busy weekend of Premier League football is upon us, as Chelsea could be crowned champions on Friday night. Below are my predication for another packed schedule in England’s top flight.

All Saturday 15:00 GMT kick offs unless stated.

West Brom v Chelsea (Friday, 20:00 GMT)

A win for Chelsea and they will be champions, sounds simple but this game is anything but. West Brom will be up for this game, Tony Pulis will not allow Chelsea to have it all their own way.

West Brom have been on a poor run of form, however that does not take away from what a marvellous season they have had. I do think Chelsea will get the three points here though, it will be a very tough game but Chelsea have too much quality.

Prediction: West Brom 1 Chelsea 2

Everton v Watford (Friday, 19:45 GMT)

Watford are safe and they are playing like it too, in recent weeks it has seemed as though thoughts are already on the summer. Everton had a bad result against Swansea last time out, however I think they will bounce back in this one. Everton will be too strong for a Watford side already on their holidays.

Prediction: Everton 4 Watford 1

Manchester City v Leicester City (Saturday, 12:30 GMT)

This should be a very entertaining game, Leicester can play with a freedom now safe in the knowledge they will be playing Premier League football next season. Manchester City must win this game to strengthen their grip on a top four finish.

Craig Shakespeare has done a fantastic job since taking over at Leicester, I think Leicester may just get something from this game.

Prediction: Manchester City 2 Leicester City 2

Bournemouth v Burnley

Bournemouth are a fantastic side to watch, Eddie Howe has done a superb job there over the last few years. They are up against a Burnley side who finally won an away game against Crystal Palace. That should give them a huge boost going into this game.

Sean Dyche has done fantastically well to keep Burnley safe this season. This will be a tight game and one that I think Bournemouth will just edge.

Prediction: Bournemouth 2 Burnley 1

Middlesbrough v Southampton

Boro’s relegation was confirmed against Chelsea on Monday, they are up against a Southampton side who have struggled of late. You see it time and time again, when a relegation is confirmed, teams will play with more freedom and know they have nothing to lose which makes them very dangerous, Sunderland went out and got a result against Hull after they were relegated. I think Boro will get a win here.

Middlesbrough 2 Southampton 1

Sunderland v Swansea

Sunderland put a huge dent in Hull’s survival hopes, they could do the same to Swansea. It is now in Swansea’s hands, at this stage of the season that is exactly the position you want to be in.

I think Swansea will win this one, Sunderland have struggled all over the pitch this season and have paid a heavy price.

Prediction: Sunderland 0 Swansea 2

Stoke City v Arsenal (Saturday, 17:30 GMT)

After all the critics Arsenal and Arsene Wenger have received this season, they could still end up finishing in the top four and winning the FA Cup. Arsenal have picked up some form at the right time, they have a great chance of snatching a top four spot away from Liverpool.

Stoke have nothing to play for and their recent performances have shown that. I think Arsenal will get the three points to really heat up the race for a top four finish.

Prediction: Stoke City 1 Arsenal 2

Crystal Palace v Hull City (Sunday, 12:00 GMT)

Huge, massive, ginormous. A real six pointer at a late stage in the season. I have Swansea down to win which would draw them level on points with Palace, it would really put the pressure on. A defeat by Hull and Palace would just be one point above the relegation zone. Palace are a real threat going forward but defensively they are a nightmare.

I think Hull will get a win here, purely on the basis that they are really fighting for their lives and the result last week really hurt them.

Prediction: Crystal Palace 1 Hull City 2

West Ham United v Liverpool (Sunday, 14:15 GMT)

I was really happy for Slaven Bilic when West Ham beat Spurs. The West Ham boss has been under so much pressure this season, he has done a good job considering everything that has happened.

Liverpool are almost impossible to predict, you just never know what you will get from them. I can see Liverpool slipping up here and it would leave their top four hopes in real danger.

Prediction: West Ham United 1 Liverpool 1

Tottenham Hotspur v Manchester United (Sunday, 16:30 GMT)

The last game at White Hart Lane, it will be an emotional day for the fans and everyone associated with the club. Manchester United made hard work of it against Celta Vigo on Thursday night, they managed to scrape through to the Europa League final – That is where their concentration will be.

I think Tottenham will win this one, it will be quite an atmosphere.

Prediction: Tottenham Hotspur 3 Manchester United 1
