Two More Years of Wenger

Arsenal have confirmed that manager Arsene Wenger has signed a new two-year deal at the Emirates. The news follows a meeting between the board, Arsenal have had a turbulent season with many fans calling for the Frenchman to move on.

For the first time under Arsene Wenger, Arsenal finished outside the top four and now have the demands of the Europa League next season. The confirmation of a further 2-years has finally ended speculation surrounding Wenger’s future. Arsenal now need to move forward, with everyone pulling in the same direction. Over the course of the last campaign fans have been divided over Arsene Wenger, now a decision has been made it is vital the club can move forward and move on from the disappointing league campaign.

Wenger now needs to concentrate on signings, the squad at his disposal at the moment is not good enough to challenge the likes of Chelsea and Spurs. The way Wenger thinks needs to change, fans are not happy with just finishing fourth, Arsenal fans want their team to be challenging for the Premier League. A Squad overhaul is needed to achieve that.

It’s what we all want and I know it’s what our fans around the world demand.”

Arsenal majority owner Stan Kroenke said: “Our ambition is to win the Premier League and other major trophies in Europe. “It’s what the fans, players, staff, manager and board expect and we won’t rest until that is achieved. Arsene is the best person to help us make that happen. “He has a fantastic track record and has our full backing.”
